There are two scholarships available per year to offer-holders for the MRes Molecular Engineering course. These are the Dr Theo George Wilson Scholarship and the Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering Masters Scholarship. Both scholarships are for academically excellent students, to reduce barriers to studying on this course and to increase equality, diversity and inclusion.
Value: each scholarship provides £10,000 towards tuition fees.
Eligibility: a Scholarship is available for up to two offer-holders, typically with First Class Honours level or equivalent in their undergraduate qualification, and showing outstanding academic merit. Successful candidates will present a strong application and references. If available, published academic papers and academic prizes won will also be considered. We particularly encourage under-represented groups to apply.

Application process: There is no separate application process. Outstanding candidates who have accepted an offer from us will be considered for the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to the candidate(s) with strongest academic track record, judged on the basis of the material provided with the application, while also taking into account equality, diversity and inclusion.
Next steps: If successful in securing the scholarship, candidates will be notified by June. Admissions open in early October each year; we strongly recommend that candidates apply early in the academic year (November to February).
